Welcome to Wee Belties breeding integrity

We are Paul & Phyllis Kay, and we breed Miniature Black Belted Galloway's.

We hope you enjoy all of the content.

As far as we can ascertain WEE BELTIES PLATINUM Tattoo PK E2 is the smallest Miniature Belted Galloway bull breed in the world. Hip height at birth 47cm or approximately 18".

We have in place a selective breeding program.

These little cattle are all registered at the annual registration with the Australian Belted Galloway Association Inc, which usually occurs in December.

Due to their quiet nature these little ones make wonderful pets.

Our Beltie's can be traced back to their origin the high country with rocky out crops of Scotland.

“The preferred cattle of nobility”.

"Why Miniature Beltie's".

High Fertility,  Ease of calving,  Very rich milk, Longevity.

Hardiness, Feed conversion in winter,  Low maintenance.

Skin pigment under the silver white belt.

Naturally Polled, “Non intimidating”,  Very trusting and Trust worthy.

Small size, Eye catching.

Core temperature regulated with (FUR not FAT),  this means heavier carcass of high quality health smart beef with less waste.

Belted Galloway's are renowned for their beef small cuts, health smart, tender succulent beef. Which is highly prized by discerning  chef's prestigious and restaurants.

Green, very little “Soil compaction”. Better soil boidiversity, water absorbtion,

trapping and retaining more organic matter such as manure.

Organic fertilizer producers.

Beef which is said contain omega 3, and is very low in LDL fats.

Double coat, Long flowing over coat, short fluffy under coat containing Lanolin.

Birds utilise the discarded winter coat for nesting material.

Where did they get the Belt?  There has been a lot of speculation on this subject with no firm conclusion.

I believe that these cattle were almost eaten into non-existence during the first and second world wars, this really speaks of the hard ships met by both humans and cattle alike. I am pleased to say that now with dedicated breeders their numbers are increasing.

Small in size, great on small properties. "And that's no bull."
